One arrested after manhunt for domestic crime

VICKSBURG, miss. – A manhunt this morning resulted in an arrest by the Warren County Sheriff's Office and Vicksburg Police. Vicksburg Police were attempting to serve a domestic violence warrant on a person on Drusilla Lane today when the suspect fled on foot into the woods behind the residence. The suspect was accused of shooting into his ex-girlfriend's home.

After the suspect fled, Vicksburg Police began searching the area. The search included the wooded area behind the residence as well as the surrounding residential areas. The search included both marked and unmarked patrol vehicles. The Warren County Sheriff's Office was called in to assist in the manhunt.

Shortly after 12 p.m., the suspect was arrested at an apartment in the Azalea Trace Apartments just outside the city limits. Since the apartment was outside the city limits, the Warren County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrest.

The suspect is now in custody.
