Mekhi Becton was able to avoid a serious injury after leaving Eagles training

Mekhi Becton has spent the summer redefining his career. Just days before he could potentially be named the starting right guard in Philadelphia, the former first-round pick escaped serious injury after the massive offensive lineman left the Eagles' Sunday practice with a lower leg injury.

Jordan Schultz reports that the favorite for the Eagles' right guard position is expected to play alongside Lane Johnson in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers.

With Becton, Steen and Lane Johnson out, Fred Johnson took over the right tackle duties while the versatile Brett Toth was inserted at right guard. Philadelphia has one final week of training camp before its final game of the season on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field against the Minnesota Vikings.
