Due to an accident, northbound traffic is closed on Liberty Road South in south Salem

According to Salem Police, the accident occurred at the corner of Triangle Drive and Liberty Road Southeast. The accident resulted in a northbound traffic closure between King Street and Salem Heights Avenue.

A white Toyota Camry and a black Toyota Forerunner were involved in the accident.

The Camry, driven by a 19-year-old woman from Keizer, overturned in the accident.

The woman said she was on her way to work and had just dropped off her 15-month-old baby at daycare.

The woman was taken to hospital because of her injuries. It was initially unclear what had caused the accident.
