Woman seriously injured in rollover accident

BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – A woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Saturday night.

According to the Barron County Sheriff's Office, a 911 call came in around 7 p.m. on August 17 for a single-vehicle rollover crash on County Road W west of Cameron.

Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle was traveling east on County Road W when it left the road. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll over several times.

The driver was a 42-year-old woman from Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. She was ejected when the vehicle overturned and was the only passenger in the car.

She was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.

The press release stated that the driver should not have been operating a motor vehicle and that the case would be forwarded to the Barron County District Attorney's Office.
