Two more men arrested for aggressive driving in Kandivli

Mumbai: Kandivli police arrested two persons on Monday in connection with the Incident of aggression in road traffic where on Saturday a group of four people attacked a priest and his relative with sticks and knives.
The arrested duo was identified as Pratham Khillare, 22, and Chhotu Maniar, 22. On Saturday, the complainant, Ashishkumar Dube, 34, was riding on a motor scooter in Kandivli with his relative, Ajit Agnihotri, who was sitting on the pillion seat. The two were on their way back after Dube performed puja at a customer's house. At around 10.45 pm, they reached Abhilakh Nagar when a motorcycle grazed their scooter. Dube and Agnihotri fell off. Dube sustained minor injuries on his leg and confronted the motorcyclist, which led to an argument. At around 11 pm, the two reached Laljipada when the motorcyclist arrived again. He started verbally abusing Dube and asked him why he had hit him earlier. Three men, aged between 20 and 30, joined the motorcyclist. One of them quickly pulled out a knife and tried to stab Dube in the stomach, grazing his ribs. Another accused hit Dube with a bamboo stick. He also chased Agnihotri and attacked him with a stick. tnn
