Boniface is investigated for a nasty gesture

Boniface opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but was substituted 30 minutes later in the 41st minute after Martin Terrier was shown the red card.

According to Weltfussball, the Nigerian is said to have shown the Stuttgart team the middle finger after the Werkself won the cup following a 4-3 victory on penalties.

The German Football Association DFB has now summoned him to comment on the alleged gesture, which is considered unfair and provocative.

Referee Tobias Stieler admitted that he did not see the incident and left the investigation to the DFB. This could get the Super Eagles striker into trouble.
