Intruder arrested in Laguna Shores neighborhood – Beach Talk Radio News

23-year-old Nikolas Zeferino was the cause of all the commotion in the Laguna Shores neighborhood last week. Several Lee County emergency responders raced to the south end of Fort Myers Beach around 3:45 p.m. last Thursday. Here's what happened.

LCSO reports they received a 911 call about a disturbance at a home in Laguna Shores. When officers arrived, Rebecca Feitosa told them she was a contractor hired by the homeowner, who lives out of state. Zeferino was apparently also helping with renovations. When she returned from shopping with supplies, Feitosa said she saw Zeferino smoking marijuana, swimming in the pool, and going through the homeowner's personal belongings. She then called authorities.

As officers were checking on Feitosa with the homeowner, they heard a commotion in the home's bathroom. They found Zeferino in an “agitated and aggressive state.” He was covered in sweat and assumed a fighting stance when he saw police, according to the LCSO report. When officers told Zeferino he had to leave, he said, “I'm not fucking leaving, this is my fucking house.

The officers then loudly ordered Zeferino several times to put his hands behind his back, but he refused. The 23-year-old from Coconut Creek, Florida, continued to refuse to follow orders and stop resisting arrest. The man was eventually shot several times with a taser. After suffering a shock, Zeferino finally complied and was arrested without further incident.

Zeferino was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. His bail was set at $2,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 3.
