Casting call for Yellowstone season 5 confirms return of famous cast member

A casting call for Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 has revealed the return of a character all country music fans know and love.

The cast of Yellowstone features several real-life country singers, including Luke Grimes, Ryan Bingham, and Kevin Costner himself. Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 is fast approaching, and most of the original cast is expected to return (except Costner, of course).

Some questions remained about the show’s previous guest stars, but thanks to a casting call for extras, it was confirmed that Lainey Wilson will return as Abby sometime in the last episodes.

Wilson's music was featured on many parts of the Yellowstone soundtrack, and the singer was finally introduced in person in Season 5. She aptly played a fictional singer on the show, hired to perform at an event at Dutton Ranch in Episode 1.

There she caught the eye of ranch hand Ryan and talked to Beth Dutton about the benefits of a relationship with a cowboy. She returned in episodes 3, 6 and 7 as a potential lover of Ryan.

Yellowstone Extras Casting originally posted a call on social media for extras to film a concert scene with Wilson in Texas.

Submissions are now closed, but this post confirms to fans that Wilson will be back on screen.

Now a multi-platinum and Grammy-winning artist, Wilson released her first album in 2014 and has since become one of the biggest names in country music today. In addition to her performances in Yellowstone, her song “Out of Oklahoma” was also included on the Twisters soundtrack.

Details about her involvement have not yet been confirmed, but with Yellowstone season 5 returning on November 10, fans will soon find out if she and Ryan make it.
