RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Six more staff members of Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi have been arrested on suspicion of providing support to Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

Among those arrested were three women, including a cleaner, two supervisors and three employees responsible for monitoring the video surveillance cameras.

According to sources, the female staff were involved in the communication between Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan in prison.

In addition, the mobile phones of the arrested employees were confiscated for investigation purposes.

The sources also reported that additional staff have been deployed to increase surveillance in Adiala Prison.

Earlier, security agencies had arrested the deputy superintendent of Adiala Prison, Mohammad Akram, for his alleged role in supporting Imran Khan and interrogated the deputy superintendent Bilal.
