Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean gives a glimpse into her $2.3 million home with her famous husband

Frances Bean Cobain gave her fans a glimpse of her new marital home as she celebrated her 31st birthday on August 18.

The daughter of the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love was presented with a decadent-looking chocolate cake with floral decorations by her husband, a professional skateboarder and son of Tony Hawk. Riley Hawk.

The couple, who married last October, were apparently in their living/dining room, which was simply furnished and included a white two-seater sofa, a black side table and a long black dining table with at least eight matching chairs.

Frances and Riley were both delighted with the dessert offerings, while the birthday girl looked admiringly at her husband, who showed off his extensive tattoo collection in black shorts.

According to the Robb report, property records show that Frances spent $2.3 million on a one-story home in the coastal town of Oceanside in San Diego County.

Originally built in 1926, the 185-square-metre house has five bedrooms – including an attic – stands on half an acre of flat land and has been completely renovated in recent years.

The listing claims the property has extensive “green energy features,” including natural landscaping, a new reverse osmosis water system, a solar energy system, and electric vehicle charging stations.

The home also features Italian porcelain floors and a kitchen with high-end Sub-Zero appliances, a saltwater pool and a separate cedar hot tub.

Before she and Riley moved into their new home, Frances lived in San Diego's Point Loma neighborhood. She purchased the property for $2.3 million in 2021 and made a small profit when she sold it in October for $2.4 million.

Her previous home is only slightly smaller than her new one: it has more than 160 square meters of living space spread over a single floor.

It features three bedrooms, an open floor plan with hardwood floors, a wood-beamed kitchen and dining nook, a heated swimming pool, AstroTurf turf, and tropical landscaping surrounding a seating area with fire pit and a covered porch.

Frances and Riley were married on October 7th in a small ceremony officiated by REM singer Michael Stipe. The bond between Michael and Frances is special; not only is he an iconic figure in music, but he is also Frances' godfather.

Frances and Riley made their romance public in January 2022, when she returned from a social media break to share a carousel of pictures of moments that she said had brought her “a lot of joy.”

Among the images were photos of Riley during the holiday season and snapshots of Frances and Riley on a boat with his father Tony and stepmother Catherine Goodman.

This marriage is Frances' second marriage; from 2014 to 2017 she was married to musician Isaiah Silva of The Eeries. For Riley, it is her first marriage.

In December, Riley's father Tony gave the first glimpse of the couple's wedding day – and Frances looked gorgeous in a Claire Pettibone dress that combined Victorian style with the 1920s.

The stunning gown is a floor-length ivory dress with a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves, while “precious guipure lace dangles along lace layers while heart-shaped embellishments adorn the sheer illusion all the way down to the heart-shaped train.”
