Introducing OnePlus Buds Pro 3 with redesigned body, Bluetooth 5.4

After teasers and snippets, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 have officially launched as the successor to one of last year's best Bluetooth accessories.

OnePlus has taken the core experience of the Buds Pro 2 and simply refined it for the Buds Pro 3 with incremental updates and improvements in almost every major area. Most notable is a brand new charging case. It now resembles a hybrid of the egg-shaped case of the Pixel Buds Pro and the bubble-shaped charging case of the AirPods Pro.

The two-tone headphones feature a textured PU leather finish and a colorful band around the edges. There's also a large Dynaudio logo to indicate the tuning team behind the earbuds. According to OnePlus, the charging case allows for up to 43 hours of listening time. Each earbud should last up to 5 hours with ANC enabled.

The audio experience of the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 should offer some notable improvements, as the 11mm woofer now features two magnets for increased power generation.

A 6mm tweeter features an upgraded diaphragm and 35-micron voice coil to improve the Buds Pro 3's processing of higher frequencies and enhance audio detail. Dynaudio has once again been tasked with optimizing the audio experience, and coupled with the dual DACs in each earbud, the listening experience should be just that little bit better this time around.

OnePlus claims the Buds Pro 3 offer up to 50dB of noise cancellation, which is a slight increase from the 48dB of noise reduction when selecting the maximum ANC control. Adaptive ANC can adjust on the fly so that outside noise is attenuated depending on the environment rather than at a specific level. Spatial Audio is also supported when enabled for an enhanced listening experience.

Voice-based touch controls are available, and the pinch gesture returns. However, the swipe gesture that was used on the Buds 3 to control volume is now available on the Buds Pro 3, which wasn't possible on the previous generation. Google Fast Pair also returns here to quickly sync and link the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 to your Google account, so you can easily pair them with all your Android and Chrome OS devices.

The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are now available in Midnight Opus and Lunar Radiance colours, priced at £199/€199, and can be pre-ordered from Amazon and OnePlus.com.
