Reproductive Freedom for All reacts to the results of the primary elections in AZ-03

Washington, DC — Today, former Senator and reproductive freedom advocate Raquel Terán lost her candidacy as the Democratic nominee for Arizona's 3rd Congressional District. The close race had to be recounted and ended with 39 votes.

Reproductive freedom for all President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:

“Raquel Terán ran an inspiring campaign, finishing with 39 votes, a testament to the grassroots movement that drove her campaign. We are proud to have endorsed her early in this race and mobilized our members to support her. She has shown time and time again that she will never give up in the fight for abortion rights and access. While we had hoped for a different outcome, we remain committed to fighting side by side with the people of Arizona to advance our fundamental rights and freedoms.”
