Affidavit: McLennan County man accused of sexually assaulting relative violated protective order twice in one week

MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) – A McLennan County man accused a relative of having sexual intercourse with her uncle and then sexually assaulting her, an arrest warrant affidavit states.

Coleman Lewis Horne, 28, is accused of sexual assault and violating a court order, the document says.

On July 13, the 29-year-old female family member filed a report with the McLennan County Sheriff's Office accusing Horne of assault and domestic violence, the affidavit states.

An injunction was issued “which, among other restrictions, prohibits Horne from having any direct or indirect contact with the protected person.”

On July 14, officers were dispatched to the protected person's home and found Horne there with the protection order in hand, the document states. Police arrested Horne, the affidavit states.

On July 18, the 29-year-old victim received a call from a counselor telling her that Horne was in a treatment center in Dickenson, across the bay from her Galveston home, and would no longer contact her, the document states.

The affidavit states: “There was indirect communication from Horne, who left Waco to follow the victim to an area closer to her residence in Galveston.”

In a conversation with investigators, the counselor said she had no knowledge of the restraining order against Horne.

The affidavit states: “Horne appears to have no problem ignoring the protective order against him when it comes to the victim.”

Horne violated the restraining order twice within a week and sought treatment 200 miles away from his family and support system in Dickenson to be closer to the victim, the document says.

On July 24, the 29-year-old victim supplemented her previous statements regarding the July 13 domestic violence incident. According to the document, the victim told officers that Horne also accused her of having sex with her uncle that day.

The victim told police Horne wanted proof that she did not have sex with her uncle and sexually abused her with his fingers, the affidavit states. The victim said Horne did not have her consent to touch her, the warrant states

Horne is currently being held without bail in the McLennan County Jail.
