More good news on the LA Rams injury front, just in time for Game 3?

Even though the LA Rams seem to be struggling to get their offensive linemen fit and ready to play, this isn't the only position group that needs some good news regarding injuries. We've learned that there are some positive developments in the status of QB Stetson Bennett and LG Jonah Jackson. While they are not yet fully participating in practice, they both got dressed and did lots of stretching and ancillary exercises.

While that's very good news, the LA Rams have even more players still unable to participate in practice. There's the hamstring injury that's keeping DB Darious Williams out. Then there's the ankle injuries to offensive tackles Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein that continue to keep them out of practice. And then there's the soft tissue injury to rookie outside linebacker Brennan Jackson. That could be the most devastating impact of all, because a rookie like Brennan Jackson needs as many practices as possible at this critical time in his first NFL season.

Well, it seems like some positive developments are bringing Brennan Jackson one step closer to his first preseason game:

Even though the Rams have already decided that Brennan Jackson will be on the team's 53-man roster, this is a crucial turning point for him as it is the only chance for him to experience game-like decision-making before an NFL game is forced upon him. And as we know from history, outside linebackers must have a strong offseason program to have a chance to make a positive impact on the defense.

I think back to the struggles OLB Terrell Lewis had in his rookie season before the season began and how he almost immediately declined after the season began. I'm hoping for a much better outcome for rookie OLB Brennan Jackson. And with this positive news, that's well on its way to becoming a reality.
