Peoria woman dies after accident in Kewanee

KEWANEE (25News Now) – A Peoria woman died Friday after a fatal crash in Kewanee.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified 37-year-old Cassie Boorn of North Terra Vista Drive in Peoria as the crash victim.

At approximately 3:15 p.m., emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle accident at County Highway 5 and North 500 Avenue in Kewanee.

Boorn was flown to OSF St. Francis Medical Center via LifeFlight in critical condition.

Her death was confirmed at 19:55

She suffered numerous blunt force injuries.

The toxicological examination is still pending according to state law.

The accident is being investigated by the Henry County Sheriff's Office.
