Woman arrested for allegedly killing a cat and eating it in front of her neighbors

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (Gray News) – A 27-year-old woman was arrested by police in Ohio for allegedly killing a cat and eating the animal.

According to Stark County court records, Allexis Telia Ferrell of Canton is charged with animal injury, keeping pets and disorderly conduct.

Canton police investigators said Ferrell killed the cat by stepping on its head and then ate the cat “in a residential area in front of several people” at an apartment complex on 13th Street SE.

Ferrell was arrested on August 16 at around 11 p.m.

According to court documents, bail was initially set at $100,000 at Ferrell's arraignment on Monday.

Ferrell is scheduled to appear in court again on August 26.
