Efron, best known for his role in the “High School Musical” trilogy, is currently receiving rave reviews for his role as Kevin Von Erich in the wrestling drama “The Iron Claw.”

Variety wrote of the film: “Ultimately, it's Zac Efron's film. He plays Kevin as a touching simpleton with hidden depths, a guy of such decency that he's not at all disobedient. He's the film's cringing bull.”

In a separate review, IndieWire added, “However you look at it, The Iron Claw deserves at least one title that simply cannot be disputed: This is the year's heaviest tearjerker.”

The Iron Claw is now in UK cinemas.
