Police investigate shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (WKYT) – Lexington Police are investigating a shooting that left one person with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Delaware Avenue at 5:06 p.m. on Tuesday because of a “verbal altercation” between two men.

On the way they were informed that someone had been shot.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police say the shooting is under investigation, although no charges have been filed. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Lexington police at (859) 258-3600.
