A dog walker in Port Richmond leads to a shooting involving two men, the shooter lives in the area: Police

A dog walk in a Philadelphia neighborhood took a violent turn when shots rang out early Wednesday morning.

According to police, the shooter was walking his dog at the corner of Almond Street and East Ealkhart Street when he got into a confrontation with a 29-year-old man who was also walking his dog.

The 29-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to the neck, chest and abdomen and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

A 35-year-old man was also hit in the arm and is said to be in stable condition.

According to police, the shooter lives just a few blocks from the crime scene. No arrests have been made so far.

What sparked the first altercation is still unknown, but police are currently investigating and collecting footage from the area.

The double shooting was one of three that occurred in Philadelphia within less than two hours on Wednesday, leaving six people injured.
