(CBS-DETROIT) – A suspicious death investigation is underway in the Detroit metropolitan area after a 39-year-old man was found dead in his home Tuesday night, police said.

At around 7:30 p.m., Warren officers responded to a report that a person was unresponsive and unresponsive.

When they arrived, they confirmed that a 39-year-old man had been found dead. The man was a resident of the house, according to police.

Detectives are currently investigating as police say that “the circumstances of the death are suspicious.”

At this stage of the investigation, the police do not believe there is a danger to the public.

“The Macomb County Coroner will perform an autopsy that will hopefully shed more light on this incident,” Warren Police Lt. John Gajewski said.
