Police ask public for help in solving death at gas station in South LA

Los Angeles Police Department detectives and relatives of the victim will issue a public appeal on Wednesday for possible witnesses to come forward with information about the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old man at a gas station in South Los Angeles.

Marquette Deon Scott Jr. was shot around 11 p.m. on Dec. 3 while sitting in a vehicle at a Sinclair gas station in the 8500 block of South Hoover Street near Manchester Avenue, police said at the time.

Scott died at the scene of the accident.
