Reynoldsville man arrested for alleged assault on woman during domestic dispute

REYNOLDSVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman during a domestic incident in Reynoldsville County.

Court documents show that DuBois-based state police have filed charges against the 32-year-old Dakhota Oakley Gordonof Reynoldsville, on August 7 in the office of District Judge David Inzana.

According to a criminal complaint, PSP DuBois was called to a domestic incident in the 500 block of Jackson Street in Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7.

Upon arrival, the victim told police that she and Dakhota Gordon argued and she told him to leave. She explained that she had just taken his things outside when Gordon ran toward her, the complaint states.

The victim further stated that she told Gordon to leave several times before he eventually fled the scene, the complaint states.

Officers discovered a small brush burn on the upper right corner of the victim's forehead near her hairline. According to the complaint, officers also discovered a golf ball-sized bump above the victim's upper right eye, as well as fresh blood on the right bottom of her t-shirt.

Officer Joseph Caputo asked the victim how she sustained these injuries and she replied she couldn't remember and began to cry. Officer Caputo then asked her where the blood on her shirt came from and she replied it was coming from her nose. When asked if Gordon caused these injuries, the victim continued to cry but did not answer any questions, the complaint states.

Gordon was tracked down about a mile away. He was questioned and taken into custody. During questioning, he said he had argued with the victim but “did not remember” hitting her, the indictment says.

Gordon was arraigned before District Judge Inzana on Wednesday, August 7, at 10:00 a.m. on the following charges:

  • Simple assault, misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment – ​​Physically harassing others, summary

He was released on an unsecured bail of $15,000.00.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 10 at 10:30 a.m., presided over by Judge Inzana.
