Man charged with manslaughter in fatal car crash in Pepin County

PEPIN COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – A man is charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal traffic crash in Pepin County.

A criminal complaint states that 55-year-old Bradley Holz of Arkansaw, Wisconsin, is charged with involuntary manslaughter.

According to the criminal complaint, on Sunday, June 18, 2023, authorities responded to a rollover of an ATV/UTV with ejection seat on County Road Z near the intersection with County Road G in the City of Waterville.

The criminal complaint states that when the police arrived, several cans of alcohol were left lying on the street.

According to the criminal complaint, a dead woman was found lying on the street and two injured men were lying in the grass.

Authorities identified one of the men as Bradley Holz. When officers spoke to Holz, they believed they could smell drugs on his breath.

Information gathered by authorities suggests that Holz was the driver of the UTV at the time of the accident.

Wood was taken to Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire for a blood test.

Online court records show a court date is scheduled for August 26, 2024.
