Police seek suspects in credit card fraud case at Walmart in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, CT (WFSB) – Police are investigating a credit card skimming incident at a Walmart in Brooklyn, where a skimming device was discovered at a self-checkout lane on Wednesday.

The Lisbon Resident Trooper Office and the East Windsor Police Department are facing similar cases involving the same suspects.

Surveillance footage from Walmart shows images of the unidentified individuals and the skimming device.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the suspects or the incident to contact Trooper Antra at [email protected] or call Troop D at 860-779-4900.

To protect against skimming, authorities advise the public to check ATMs, POS terminals and other card readers before using them.

Look for signs of tampering, such as bent, damaged or scratched surfaces.

If you notice anything unusual, avoid using a card reader and pull the edges of the keypad before entering your PIN.

Report suspicious activity immediately.
