LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – Police say a suspect has been identified in the fatal shooting of a man east of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has charged 28-year-old Anthony Rollans with murder. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center in absentia on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred on Monday, August 12, in the 3900 block of Palos Verdes Street. This is near Flamingo and Paradise streets.

When officers arrived, they found a black man in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died at Sunrise Hospital.

LVMPD Lieutenant Robert Price said during a press conference that witnesses recalled seeing the victim talking to a white woman before the shooting.

Then a “pop” was heard and the victim was seen running to his car, bleeding.

Additionally, the woman was seen running south on Palos Verdes. Lt. Price added that officers searched the area trying to find the woman but were unable to locate her.
