Two injured in drive-by shooting outside Mueller HEB, no arrests

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured two people outside a HEB grocery store in the Mueller neighborhood over the weekend.

Officers responded to shots fired at approximately 10:10 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, at the HEB located at 1801 East 51st Street and Berkman Drive.

When they arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. Officers learned that two suspects had driven by, fired several shots, and then fled the scene.

One of the victims suffered minor injuries.

So far, no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.

The police assume that this was an isolated incident and that there was no danger to the public.

The investigation is not yet complete.
