Anderson County Sheriff arrests man accused of drug trafficking

Anderson County, SC (WOLO) — A Pendleton man is behind bars tonight after officers discovered various drugs in backpacks at his Maple Street home. According to officers, the Special Investigations Division and Narcotics Investigations Unit were executing a search warrant on Larry Burton's residence when they found the drugs.

According to investigators, they seized more than 18 grams of methamphetamine, more than 25 grams of cocaine, 29 grams of crack cocaine, 28 grams of fentanyl and more than 7 grams of mushrooms.

Authorities said they could not find Burton at the home and dispatched their fugitive investigation unit, which located him at an apartment on Honea Path and took him into custody.

Larry Burton faces a long list of drug trafficking charges and remains in the Anderson County Detention Center.
