Tragic accident involving Lamdon School bus near Durbuk Morh

In a tragic incident, a bus carrying teachers and staff of Lamdon School Leh met with a serious accident while on its way to Durbuk for a staff event. The bus, a Mazda with registration number JK 10A 7004, skidded off the road and fell into a ditch about 45 metres deep near Durbuk Morh.

The accident claimed many victims. Five deaths were confirmed among the passengers. Rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene and all injured and dead were evacuated and taken to the Tangtse Primary Health Center (PHC) for immediate medical treatment.

This incident has left the Lamdon School community and the wider region in deep mourning as families and friends come to terms with the devastating loss. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation and further details are awaited as authorities continue to assess the situation.
