Joey Lawrence's estranged wife shared a cryptic message about “loss” and “freedom” before filing for divorce from the “Blossom” alumnus.

“Not everything you lose is a loss. Some things mean freedom,” was the quote Samantha Cope posted on Instagram in June, the same month she gave as the now-divorced couple's separation date in court documents obtained by Page Six.

“Some things are a second chance. Some things are a miracle in secret. Some things are a long overdue distance, a clarity given to blurry eyes,” the paragraph continued.

The rest of the photos from the carousel featured Cope and her and Lawrence's one-year-old daughter, Dylan Rose.

Cope, 37, filed for divorce from Lawrence, 48, on Wednesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation.

The “Insecure” actress waived any claim to spousal support, but requested sole custody of their daughter and asked that Lawrence be allowed visits only at Cope's discretion.

Cope stated in her lawsuit that she was opposed to the former child star taking their daughter in for an extended period of time until she was old enough to consent.

“Once Dylan is 3 years old or older, Joe will have the option to take her into his home for two nights, provided he is not working and is able to accommodate her visits. He will not take her for extended periods of time until she is old enough to specifically request visitation and all parties agree and are able to accommodate it,” court documents state.

“He must be available for the entire duration of her visit while she is a minor. She is not allowed to be in the presence of anyone who is not a family member unless Samantha consents.”

The couple met while filming the Lifetime movie “My Husband's Secret Brother.” They got engaged in August 2021.

“I guess the cat is out of the bag,” Lawrence told his Instagram followers at the time. “We are beyond excited about what the future holds for us and knowing that we will grow old and super wrinkled together is the ultimate blessing.”

Lawrence admitted to People magazine in December 2023 that their marriage was “very unexpected” as he does not normally court his co-stars.

“It was just very, very unusual for me,” he said. “I've never been in a serious relationship with anyone I've actually worked with, ever.”
