Shippensburg teenager identified after tragic death

Levi Maciejewski, a 13-year-old boy, was found dead in Shippensburg Township on Tuesday. He was the son of Mark Maciejewski, head football coach of Shippensburg University, and his wife Tricia. Pennsylvania State Police responded to a 911 call around 2 p.m. from the 300 block of Britton Road, where the Maciejewski family lives.

The university released a statement Wednesday evening expressing the family's deep sadness and gratitude for the community's support, and asking for privacy during the grieving period. The circumstances of Levi's death are currently under investigation, and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. Additional details on the case have not been released at this time.
