On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit, along with additional officers from the Fostoria Police Department, Sandusky County Drug Task Force, and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), executed a drug-related search warrant on a residence located at 506 Columbus Avenue in the City of Fostoria, Seneca County, Ohio, where 44-year-old Jamie Jones and 42-year-old Marlana Jones reside.

The search warrant, signed by Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court Judge Rhonda Best, resulted in the seizure of suspected oxycodone pills, crack cocaine, cocaine, criminal tools, firearms and U.S. currency.

The investigation is currently “ongoing.” Charges of illegal possession of oxycodone pills, possession of crack cocaine, possession of cocaine, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of criminal tools are all pending until the entire drug investigation is completed.

The Fostoria Police Department canine unit was also deployed to assist in executing the search warrant on the residence.

“The cooperation and efforts of the agencies involved were critical to the success of this investigation. The Fostoria Police Department, along with the METRICH Unit, continues to focus on the problem areas of drug addiction in our communities. With the support of the citizens of our community, we are able to remove drugs and weapons from our streets and prosecute the perpetrators,” said Police Chief Gabriel Wedge of the Fostoria Police Department.

“I would like to encourage citizens to continue to report suspicious activity to their local authorities or to the Seneca County Drug Task Force – METRICH Enforcement Unit Crime Hotline at the local number 419-443-0463, extension 1140.”
