Massachusetts police seek Level 3 suspect after reported incident involving teen – Fall River Reporter

Police are looking for a Massachusetts man following an incident that occurred this week.

According to police, Marshfield police received a call around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday regarding a suspicious man driving in the Humarock neighborhood of Marshfield.

The driver pulled up next to a jogging teenager and offered her a ride. When she declined, he followed her until she ran away.

The vehicle and driver were located by Marshfield Police on the Scituate side of the Humarock area and identified as 53-year-old Edmund David Chance Jr., a Level 3 registered sex offender.

It was later discovered that Chance had not registered when he moved, as required by the Level 3 sex offender law, and a warrant was issued for his arrest by the Scituate Police Department.

He was previously convicted of rape and indecent assault on a person aged 14 or over.

Chance was last seen driving a black Lincoln Zephyr Ma, license plate 4NWY15.

He had lived at 23 Hawthorne St. on the Scituate side of Humarock.
