New Bern man gets $2.5 million bail after drug raid

NEW BERN, NC (WITN) – A New Bern man was given a $2.5 million bail following a drug raid Wednesday.

Craven County officials have charged 37-year-old Paul Ellison with trafficking methamphetamine by possession, trafficking cocaine by possession, trafficking marijuana by possession, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver Schedule I controlled substances, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver Schedule II controlled substances, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver Schedule VI controlled substances, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling space for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The raid occurred at a home on Colony Drive in New Bern and officers said they were assisted by New Bern police.

Officers seized methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, 21.3 pounds of marijuana and nearly $3,000 in cash.
