“The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim” will be released in December 2024.

The Lord of the Rings is revered for good reason. Created decades ago by JRR Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings remains a pillar of all things fantasy. We've seen the franchise expand beyond the pages as Hollywood adapted Tolkien's work with a series of live-action films. Now The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is just around the corner and we have received a first trailer for the film.

On December 13, fans can The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim in cinemas. The film is being produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and yes – it follows on from the live-action films of the franchise. The anime acts as a kind of prequel, as it is set over 180 years before The Lord of the Ringsand it tells the story of Rohan's legendary king Helm Hammerhand.
