Could Beyoncé be the guest of honor at the DNC? These signs indicate

Beyoncé or Taylor Swift at the Democratic National Convention? This question is on many people's minds, and there are some indications that at least one of the two will be attending.

As preparations begin for Day 4, the final day of the national convention, early signs suggest that one of the two artists could make it to the stage at Chicago's United Center. And if you're betting on Queen Bey… you might be right. On X, formerly known as Twitter, there are numerous hints that Beyoncé will take the stage to support Vice President Kamala Harris in her acceptance of the Democratic presidential nomination for 2024.

Here are the signs that point to an appearance from the genre-bending artist.

Online detectives find out if Beyoncé will be at the DNC on Thursday night

The whole fuss started when Emmy Ruiz, the White House policy director, tweeted a single emoji of a bee. Although she attributed it to her child getting a hold of her phone, it sparked rumors online.

“Sorry guys, my 6 year old took my phone,” she later tweeted.

The “KHarris Hive” announces online that Beyoncé will be the big surprise at the national convention tonight.

“I'm pretty sure it's Beyoncé and she'll be singing Freedom live because that's what KHive manifested and we're pretty good MANIFESTORS,” wrote one X-user.

Posts surfaced of artists rehearsing at the convention, featuring some of Beyoncé's well-known songs as well as a drumline that she is known to use in music videos and live performances.

There is no confirmation that Queen Bey will be there on the final night, but there is hope.

Beyoncé is already linked to the Harris-Walz campaign

If you've seen one of Harris's recent campaign ads, as a Beyoncé fan, some of the lyrics may sound familiar.

“We choose freedom,” Harris says in the clip as Beyoncé's powerful chorus from “Freedom” plays, a song from her breakthrough 2016 album “Lemonade.” The song begins, “Freedom! Freedom! I can't move / Freedom, let me go! Yeah.”

Although Beyoncé has not yet expressed her support, Harris' running mate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been recognized as a certified Beyhive member, and Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, has already endorsed Harris as the next U.S. president.

Beyoncé attacks Trump for misusing “Freedom”

Beyoncé, a number of other artists, and the estates of some artists have threatened to sue Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump for using their music without their consent.

According to Rolling Stone reports, the artist threatened the Trump campaign with a cease-and-desist after a clip of her song “Freedom” was attached to one of his ads and posted on social media. Rolling Stone learned that the campaign did not get permission to use the song, which is often heard in Harris' campaign ads and at this week's Democratic National Convention, in the 13-second video of Trump stepping off a plane in Michigan. The video was posted Tuesday by Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung.

Taylor Swift at the DNC? Probably not

It had also been hoped that Swift would appear at the convention after she took a clear stance on the 2020 election campaign and supported President Joe Biden and Harris.

The announcement that the Tennessee Three were pulled from primetime airtime due to a last-minute programming change has left Swifties speculating and searching for any information they can about their whereabouts and possible flight to Chicago. Attempts have been made to track their jet, but there's a problem: The jet tracking accounts that provided the current locations of their private jets are no longer current, the Palm Beach Post reported.

“Everyone loves Taylor, but her presence would overshadow everything,” a DNC insider told Deadline. “Think about it, no one would remember a word the vice president said in her acceptance speech. All the headlines would be about Swift.”

The chances of it showing up may be slim, but never say never.

When will Kamala Harris speak at the DNC?

According to the Democratic National Committee's program, the Vice President will take the stage at 9 p.m. CDT. Her speech will conclude the evening.
