Usher starts his tour in Washington DC after delay

Usher is finally going on tour after a short delay!

The 45-year-old R&B legend kicked off his long-awaited Past Present Future Tour with two sold-out shows at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, August 20 and Wednesday, August 21.

Earlier this month, Usher said he would postpone the first three shows of his highly anticipated tour due to a neck injury he sustained during rehearsals. Usher announced he would postpone the first date in Atlanta on August 14. The next day, he said he would have to postpone two more shows.

“I was hoping that with physical therapy and medical treatment I would overcome the injury and be ready for the premiere,” he said in his statement on August 15. “Unfortunately, the injury has not healed yet and my doctors have advised me not to do any shows this week.”

The previous dates have already been postponed to December 9, 10 and 12.
