Corning man arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material – Finger Lakes Daily News

A Steuben County man was arrested for allegedly using an app on his phone to view and share nearly 6,000 photos and videos depicting child sexual abuse.

State police began investigating Nicholas Faulisi of Corning after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children last October that abusive material was being uploaded to a messaging app. A multi-month investigation led to Faulisi's arrest. He was charged with promoting sexual conduct by a child under 17, promoting obscene sexual conduct by a child and possession of sexual conduct by a child.

Faulisi was held in the Steuben County Jail pending arraignment under the CAP Act.
