YSRCP leaders in trouble in Krishna district

The TDP government is intensifying its efforts to take legal action against YSRCP leaders in Krishna district, especially those involved in controversial incidents during their tenure. The crackdown is seen as an attempt to hold these leaders accountable for their past actions, especially when they are accused of acting with impunity due to their political power.

In particular, former minister Jogi Ramesh and his family are under close scrutiny. His son Rajeev has already been arrested in connection with the Agrigold land grab case. Jogi Ramesh himself is under investigation for his alleged involvement in an attempted attack on Chandrababu Naidu's residence. According to reports, Jogi Ramesh has not cooperated with the ongoing investigation, which makes his arrest possible.

Moreover, Devineni Avinash, another key YSRCP leader, has been booked by the police in connection with the attack on the TDP state office. Authorities are also preparing to question him and his followers for their alleged involvement in an attack on the residence of TDP leader Pattabhi. Several of Avinash's followers have already been arrested in connection with an attack on TDP city leader Chennupati Gandhi.

Former MP Kodali Nani is also being investigated for organising a large casino event during Sankranthi in January 2022 and staging a subsequent attack on a TDP investigation team probing the event. Police are reportedly turning the case around and considering filing attempt to murder charges against those involved in the attack.

These developments indicate that the TDP government is tightening its grip on the YSRCP leaders who allegedly engaged in illegal activities during its time in power. Several senior figures are now facing legal consequences.
