Guillermo del Toro, the director who is currently in Scotland, made a chilling confession about an incident he experienced while filming his movie Frankenstein.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker confessed that there are “angry and territorial” spirits in the Aberdeen Hotel where he is staying.

The 59-year-old director said on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he decided to stay in the room after one of the producers staying there checked out due to “strange electrical occurrences.”

“While in Aberdeen I am staying in an old 19th century hotel. I am in the most haunted room, which was vacated this morning by one of our producers,” Toro wrote, adding: “Strange electrical and physical occurrences frightened her so much that she left as soon as possible. Stay tuned – if anything happens I will report.”

“I always stay in the most haunted rooms, but I have only experienced something supernatural once, the rest of the time: nothing. I have high hopes,” he continued.

Toro's Frankenstein, an upcoming science fiction horror film written and directed by the director himself.

The film is based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel of the same name. The main roles are played by Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley and Christian Convery.
