A tragic case of betrayal

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad, a man was arrested for the brutal murder of his adopted mother. Jayamma (64) was stabbed to death by her adopted son Venu in a shocking act of violence.

A tragic betrayal

Jayamma, who had five daughters, adopted Venu as a two-month-old baby from her relatives in the hope that a son would provide for her in her old age. Venu grew up alongside Jayamma's biological son and was treated equally by Jayamma. Although Jayamma later had a son of her own, she continued to care for and raise him as her own child.

But Venu's behavior took a dark turn over the years. He developed an addiction to alcohol and frequently clashed with his wife, who eventually left him because of his erratic behavior. Venu's financial demands and his subsequent arguments with Jayamma became increasingly heated. Recently, he had demanded about Rs 400,000 from his mother, which led to frequent arguments.

The deadly attack

On Wednesday evening, Venu was very drunk when he again argued with Jayamma about money. Venu's anger escalated despite her attempts to explain that she could not afford the money. In a fit of rage, he stabbed Jayamma in the forehead with a large nail that he had previously hammered into the wall. The attack was fatal and Jayamma died at the scene. Local residents alerted the police, who arrived promptly and arrested Venu.

The agony of Jayamma’s husband

Jayamma's husband Swami must grapple with the unimaginable grief of losing his wife in such a brutal manner. The emotional toll he is taking in his old age is profound and heartbreaking.

Disappearance of Jayamma’s biological son

In a disturbing twist, Jayamma's biological son Vinod (24) has been missing for 18 months. According to the police complaint, Vinod left home over a year ago and his whereabouts are unknown. There are suspicions that Vena's actions may be linked to Vinod's disappearance, but details are still unclear.
