Arrests against drug trafficking organizations announced in Tampa

TAMPA, Florida. – According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida, federal and local officials plan to announce the arrest of members of a drug trafficking organization at a press conference in Tampa on Friday morning.

U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations Tampa, Kissimmee Police Department, Osceola County Sheriff's Office and Central Florida HIDTA are expected to make the announcement.

According to officials, members of the drug trafficking organization were arrested for various violations of federal law.

The press conference is expected to begin at 11 a.m.
