Suspects charged in fatal shooting in Loris extradited to Horry County Jail

LORIS, SC (WMBF) – Two more suspects charged in a fatal shooting in Loris earlier this month are now behind bars in Horry County.

According to jail records, Feleshia Goodman and Ebony Vereen were extradited from the Columbus County Detention Center in North Carolina to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and booked into custody Thursday.

This means that all six suspects, except one, Zarius Vereen, are in custody in Horry County.

WMBF News is trying to find out Zarius' status as Zarius was also awaiting extradition from Columbus County to Horry County.

Loris police booked the other three suspects in the case, William Goodman, Antonio Goodman and Lilly Stephens, into jail on August 15.

At the time of writing, they were also still behind bars.

All suspects face charges in connection with an August 7 shooting near Bojangles on Walnut Street.

One woman (22-year-old Kenasia Martin) was killed in the shooting and another person was injured.

Loris Police Chief Gary Buley previously told WMBF News that his goal was to seek justice for the victims' families.
