Driver convicted in drug raid during traffic stop in Fergus Falls

Bartlette, David (OTCDF)

Fergus Falls, MN – 35-year-old David Bartlette of Fargo was sentenced to over 7 years in prison for first-degree drug possession.

Bartlette was arrested in May after officers discovered over 15.3 grams of methamphetamine, 22.28 grams of heroin, 187 M30 fentanyl tablets and various drug paraphernalia in his vehicle during a traffic stop at the corner of Western Avenue and Lincoln in Fergus Falls.

Bartlette and his three passengers were charged with numerous drug offenses, including first-degree drug distribution, which could have resulted in a prison sentence of up to 30 years.

Bartlette received his 90-month sentence on Thursday (August 22) at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud.

The verdict came after Bartlette pleaded guilty as part of a plea agreement in July.

Charges against Bartlette's passengers are still pending in Otter Tail District Court.
