McLennan County SO arrests two people in ongoing murder investigation

MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas (KXXV) – The McLennan County Sheriff’s Office has announced a “significant development” in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Dipak Oli.

After executing three search warrants on residential properties, authorities arrested two suspects – Christopher Matthew Beltran and Micah Nahum Harris on charges of felony and aggravated robbery, and one suspect, Matthew Porifor Beltran, on charges of tampering with evidence.

According to authorities, Christopher Beltran and Matthew Beltran are confirmed members of the criminal street gang Crips.

“The arrests follow a series of crimes that began on July 28 with an aggravated robbery at a convenience store in Hewitt and culminated in a capital crime at a rest stop in Elm Mott,” the sheriff's office said.

“This sequence of violent events had a significant impact on our community and was the focus of our investigation.”

Several local law enforcement agencies worked together on this case.

While authorities say these arrests are a big step, the case and investigation are ongoing and further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
