Man accused of murdering teenager in Flint, Michigan, arrested in Lima

LIMA, Ohio (WTVG) – The U.S. Marshals Service announced that a man accused of killing a teenager in Flint, Michigan was arrested Friday.

According to USMS, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested 18-year-old Amarion Cain at a gas station near the 2700 block of St. Johns Road in Lima on August 23. Cain was booked into the Allen County Jail, where he awaits extradition to Flint.

“Officers in our Fugitive Unit risk their lives every day tracking down and apprehending violent fugitives throughout the Northern District of Ohio,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. “The outstanding teamwork of our task force and several local law enforcement partners in Allen County resulted in the safe and swift apprehension of this suspect in Lima.”

According to USMS, on June 25, Cain and a group of men got into an argument in a yard near the 6100 block of Hilton Lane in Mt. Morris Township, Michigan. During the argument, a 17-year-old male was shot and killed.

Cain was later identified as a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
