When will the Nintendo Switch 2 be released?

Over the last year, we've heard rumors about the look, release date, and name of the Nintendo Switch 2. Although the Switch 2 should have already been released according to the 7-year console release rule, Nintendo has reportedly pushed the release back to March 2025 to curb the black market and build up enough stock to meet demand. There are also rumors that the Switch 2, if that is its final name, will have the same hybrid functionality as the original, but with a larger screen.
