Man arrested after domestic violence incident outside Walmart

On Friday morning around 3:09 a.m., Turlock Police responded to an assault call at Walmart in the area of 2100 Fulkerth Road.

The caller reported that a man slapped a woman and threw her items into the street next to the electric vehicle chargers near the garden area.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the couple, including David Cadwalader, 45, of Turlock.

Various items were scattered all over N. Tully Road.

Cadwalader disobeyed the police officers' orders and reached into his waistband, which is why he was held at gunpoint.

When officers had their dispatcher search Cadwalader, they found him being held by the woman. He was also on probation for possession of methamphetamine and driving without a license.

The investigation revealed that Cadwalader had injured the woman during the incident.

The woman refused treatment or transport to the hospital.
