How several Raiders spoke for themselves in the season finale

Tyreik McAllister was another player who had a great performance against the 49ers. McAllister was formerly on the Denver Broncos practice squad and played one season in the Canadian Football League. With his increased snap count in this game, he showed off with a 35-yard touchdown grab and an 81-yard punt return into the end zone.

“I thought he did a heck of a job in training camp, calmly,” Pierce said of McAllister. “If you really think about the Minnesota game, he shot one. We saw that in practice, but today he took it to a new level, shot one in the crib and made a heck of a catch and a great adjustment on a reception. And then he even just covered kicks. He made an impact tonight.”

McAllister's play in training camp and this preseason is all the more impressive considering he switched from running back to wide receiver and is playing that position exclusively for the first time since his college days. As Pierce hinted, special teams are McAllister's trademark.

“I am very proud of [special teams]because I know I came back here from the CFL,” the receiver said after the game. “I'm very proud to go out there and do my best.”
