Franklin Twp, NJ – One dead, five injured in three-car crash at intersection of Hogback Rd & Rte 617

Franklin Township, NJ (August 23, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, August 22, one person was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

According to a news release from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office, Franklin Township police arrived at the scene of a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hogback Road, Route 617 and Lower Lansdown Road at about 7:30 a.m. One passenger died at the scene, the prosecutor's office said. The prosecutor's office added that three passengers were seriously injured and taken to area hospitals, while two drivers were treated and released at the scene.

Details of the accident, including the identities of the victims, have not yet been released as the investigation is ongoing and no citations or charges have been filed in the meantime. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Franklin Township Police Department.
