Among the injured was 24-year-old Jonathan Vreeland, who died of his injuries at EGRMC. Vreeland, a Hinesville native, had recently started working full-time for Foundry Broadcasting, the owner of several radio stations in Statesboro. He was a passenger in a vehicle returning from a football game between Bulloch Academy and Claxton High School, which he and a colleague had broadcast live.

Vreeland had only started his full-time job at the radio station a week ago, having previously worked part-time. His sudden death brought deep sadness to the local community and his colleagues at Foundry Broadcasting.

This is a developing story. Grice Connect will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Grice Connect would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Vreeland family and the team at Foundry Broadcasting during this difficult time.
